When I was eight, I wanted to go to this horse camp that the movie star’s kids went to. Every camper got their own horse. So my parents said, “You make the money for the tuition and we will buy whatever equipment is required.” So I drew Disney characters & horses & peoples homes in crayon. Took me three years. I went to that camp…

I still love drawing with crayons. I didn’t start drawing with anything else until college where I was given two cadavers. I was an illustration major. After graduation I designed products, packaging and toys. I illustrated articles for Playboy, Teen Magazine, children’s stories, medical textbooks and fashion mags. I loved teaching life drawing. Pure life drawing is such a great way to get in your creative zone.
